Full Body Skin Exam

This exam is done on first time patients to get a baseline to compare any skin changes at later appointments. This exam is also done if you are considered medium to high risk, which means if you have fair skin, a high number of moles, a personal or family history of skin cancer, an outdoor lifestyle, or received a referral from your primary care physician. This exam is repeated annually to monitor skin changes.

Skin Cancer Screening

Also done at the initial appointment. Patients that have concerns about a mole or lesion on their skin may also request a Skin Cancer Screening. The area of concern is documented and monitored closely at each visit.

Psoriatic Arthritis Screening

Psoriatic Arthritis can lead to life-long damage to your joints and bones. Getting diagnosed and treated early can prevent potential damage and help you to stay healthy.

Eczema Treatment

We want you to understand your eczema and the root cause - the inflammation that lies underneath your skin. To help you with the best possible treatment, we need to know how eczema is affecting your daily life.

Psoriasis Treatment

Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune condition that is due to the rapid buildup of skin cells causing scaling, painful inflammation, and redness on the skins surface. These patches can sometimes crack and bleed, that leads to more pain and potential infection if left untreated. It is NOT contagious, however if you have an immediate family member with this condition your chances for developing it are higher. Talk to one of our providers today for available treatment options.

Rosacea

The symptoms of Rosacea can include facial flushing, general redness, patchy spots, thickening of your skin, and even potential eye problems, such as dry eye or sore eyelids. Many rosacea cases are mild and not difficult to manage on a daily basis. The spots can usually be cleared with the right antibiotic ointment. If you think you have any or multiple rosacea symptoms, talk to one of our doctors today.

Hair Loss / Hair Shedding

While it is normal to shed between 50 and 100 hairs a day, the body can shed significantly more hairs everyday and this should not go unchecked. Excessive shedding is common in people who have experienced a stressor, ex: given birth or under a lot of stress. If the stressor is stopped, the excessive shedding stops usually between 6 and 9 months. Hair loss is different than hair shedding because there is a specific reason that stops the hair from growing. Talk to our providers to see which treatment is right for you.

Itchy, Dry, or Sensitive Skin

When your skin becomes dry, its barrier is severely weakened. It cannot do a very good job of retaining moisture and therefore, is at risk for infections and allergens. We have regimens available to fit your lifestyle.

Acne

Acne occurs when your pores become clogged with oil, dirt and bacteria. This causes an inflamed bump on your skin. Acne may include small red bumps, white heads, and black heads. Our dermatology providers can prescribe different treatments and regimens for different skin types that can help to clear up your skin.

Post Inflammatory Hyper-pigmentation and Hypo-pigmentation

This condition occurs when the skin changes color after experiencing inflammation or trauma.

  • Hyper-pigmentation: means the skin looks darker than normal (often brown or grey).
  • Hypo-pigmentation: means the skin looks lighter than normal.

Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS)

Is an inflammatory health condition where your overactive immune system contributes to inflammation below the skins' surface. The reason why this happens, is your immune system produces excess amounts of proteins and cells that result in inflammation, even if there is no underlying reason for this immune response.

There are three stages:

  • Mild
  • Moderate
  • Severe

If you are curious what stage your HS is at, our providers can inform you after an exam
