How to keep your skin hydrated throughout the day with the "3 Minute Rule"

This rule, when followed, is very important for managing conditions such as eczema, atopic dermatitis, and general dry and itchy skin. Using the "3 minute rule" after bathing will LOCK in the moisture, which will help to repair the affected skin barrier. This will also help prevent the skin from suffering infections and repel allergens as well!

  1. Shower or bathe using LUKEWARM (not hot) water - and only for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Immediately after stepping out of the shower or bath, GENTLY PAT DRY your skin (leaving SOME droplets of water present.)
  3. Quickly apply your moisturizer (Vaseline or one of your choice) to the itchiest parts of your body first! Then the rest of your body within 3 minutes of patting dry.

If you can do this process (3 steps) within 3 minutes, you've locked in the moisture, and helped your skin barrier rehydrate!
